Basketball Recap: Saucon Valley Find Success

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saucon Valley). They slipped by the Tamaqua Blue Raiders 57-56 on Friday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Raiders, too.

Jack Robertson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Adam Clark was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Saucon Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Several Blue Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Ansbach, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Mccabe, who put up 13 points.

Saucon Valley's record is now 5-3. As for Tamaqua, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Saucon Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-41 defeat against Wilson Area on the 4th. As for Tamaqua, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-67 victory against Schuylkill Haven on the 30th.
