Early Notre Dame commit threw for nearly 4,500 yards as a junior.

Even in a state known for producing big time quarterbacks, 2019 was a banner year when it comes to the passing game in California high school football.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, seven quarterbacks topped the 4,000-yard mark.

E.J. Kreutzmann of La Jolla Country Day and Ethan Garbers of Corona del Mar hit the 5,000-yard mark.

There were plenty of big names to make our list, including Garbers (who will play at Washington next year), Bryce Young of Mater Dei (Alabama), Tyler Buchner of Bishop's (junior Notre Dame commit), D.J. Uiagalelei of national champ St. John Bosco (Clemson) and Shane Illingworth of Norco (Oklahoma State).
