Douglas is a perfect 10-0 against Burns since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Douglas Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burns Broncs at 7:30 p.m. Douglas has given up an average of 50.3 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Douglas heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Wheatland by a score of 56-53. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Wheatland, falling 53-29. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Broncs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Douglas will have to keep a close watch on Shaw Martin and Duggan Kriz, a pair of players who had a big impact on Burns' prior game. Martin went 5-for-8 on his way to 10 points, while Kriz posted six points.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Burns, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Everything came up roses for Douglas against Burns in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 77-32 win. Will Douglas repeat their success, or does Burns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
