Johnson-Brock came tearing into Thursday's match with 20 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Freeman Falcons by a score of 45-32. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Falcons are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnson-Brock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taryn Ottemann, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Ottemann is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Brooklyn Behrends was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Johnson-Brock pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points over those games. As for Freeman, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Johnson-Brock has already played their next game, a 75-34 win against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on the 14th. Freeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
