It was a good run, but Shishmaref unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Shaktoolik Wolverines 87-82. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (63), the Northern Lights still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Shishmaref still got an impressive performance from Ivan Davis-Nayokpuk, who posted 28 points. That's the most points Davis-Nayokpuk has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Corben Nayokpuk, who earned 15 points.

Shishmaref's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Shaktoolik, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

As of now, neither Shishmaref nor Shaktoolik have any future games scheduled.
