Football Recap: Smiths Station Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Smiths Station extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-8. They were beaten by the Enterprise Wildcats 38-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Wildcats are ranked 12th).

As for Enterprise, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Enterprise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Burkhardt, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. What's more, Burkhardt racked up 130.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Kenyon Kilow also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.

Smiths Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Enterprise, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-16 victory against Choctawhatchee on the 30th.
