Football Game Preview: Findlay Trojans vs. Wayne Warriors

The Findlay Trojans will face off against the Wayne Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Findlay's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Wayne's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Findlay is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Anthony Wayne last Friday. The Trojans were just a hair shy of victory and fell 20-19 to the Generals. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wayne had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 36-6 victory over the Cougars. Considering the Warriors have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Findlay better focus on containing Kye Graham and Isaiah Thompson as the pair were huge in Wayne's win. Graham rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Thompson rushed for 202 yards and one TD while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Those 102 rushing yards gave Graham a new career-high.

Wayne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Wayne has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.8 points over those games. As for Findlay, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
