Bayport-Blue Point put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the John Glenn Knights. The result was nothing new for the Phantoms, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brady Gelling made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Gelling was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mike Messina was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Colin Most was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Bayport-Blue Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as John Glenn only posted a batting average of .120.

Bayport-Blue Point pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for John Glenn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Bayport-Blue Point will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
