Basketball Recap: Argyle Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Argyle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Ryan Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-36 back in January.

Ryan's loss came despite strong showings from De?Anthony Manuel and Kadon Jackson. Manuel posted ten points, while Jackson had nine points. That's the most points Manuel has posted since back in November of 2024.

Argyle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season. As for Ryan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-22.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Argyle Eagles take on the Birdville Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Birdville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Argyle likes a good challenge. Ryan has already played their next matchup (against Denton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
