Kennedale dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Alvarado Indians and fell 63-3. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Alvarado, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.6 points on average this season.

Alvarado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demarcus Belton, who picked up 96 receiving yards and four scores, and also rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Belton's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. KJ Jenkins was another key player, having thrown for 287 yards and six touchdowns.

Kennedale and Alvarado are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wildcats will square off against Eastern Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Riley Bingham and Christopher Johnson. As for Alvarado, they will challenge Carter-Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
