Basketball Game Preview: Hartsville Red Foxes vs. Lakewood Gators

The Hartsville Red Foxes will face off against the Lakewood Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartsville has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 27.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-27, which was the final score in Hartsville's tilt against Darlington on Friday.

Hartsville's defeat came about despite a quality game from Brooke Mitchell, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Lakewood came up short against Wilson on Monday and fell 51-43. The Gators have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Hartsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Hartsville and Lakewood were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Hartsville came up empty-handed after a 52-51 loss. Can Hartsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
