Baseball Game Preview: Gentry Pioneers vs. Lonoke Jackrabbits

The Gentry Pioneers will be taking part in a tournament against the Lonoke Jackrabbits at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lonoke took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gentry, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Gentry and Siloam Springs meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Gentry blew past Siloam Springs 18-3. The game marked the Pioneers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Lonoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 13-9 to Huntsville. One positive for the Jackrabbits, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Lonoke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gentry, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
