Basketball Game Preview: Waterford Wolverines vs. Racine Park Panthers

The Waterford Wolverines will challenge the Racine Park Panthers on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Waterford comes in on ten and Racine Park on four.

Waterford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Whitnall by a score of 56-49.

Meanwhile, Racine Park faced Greenfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Racine Park secured a 73-69 W over Greenfield.

Racine Park's win came from a few key players Waterford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaxson Moss, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 18 boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zareontae Gwinn, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 19 points and eight rebounds.

Racine Park's victory bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Waterford, their win bumped their record up to 24-3.

Waterford lost to Racine Park on the road by a decisive 86-71 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Waterford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
