Basketball Recap: Ritenour Comes Up Short

Ritenour lost against Ladue Horton Watkins back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ritenour Huskies received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Rams are ranked 29th).

Ritenour has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ritenour has already played their next game (against McCluer North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ladue Horton Watkins has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Parkway West.
