Jacksonville won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 34-24 win over the Golden Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jacksonville's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Quinton Atkins and Jeremiah Hawkins, who racked up four sacks between them. Jacksonville is undefeated when Atkins posts one or more sacks, but 2-3 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln lost, don't look at Nic Catlett. Despite the final result, he threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs.

Jacksonville's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, Jacksonville and Lincoln will both be playing St. Clair County the next time they take the field. The Golden Bears will head out to face the Fighting Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
