Soccer Recap: Moapa Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Moapa Valley barely beat The Meadows School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Monday. It was an even better day for Lane Briggs as he scored three goals for his team.

The win (which was Moapa Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 13-1-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for The Meadows School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Moapa Valley will square off against rival Virgin Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, The Meadows School is set to take on their familiar foe Boulder City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
