Volleyball Recap: Walsenburg Takes a Loss

Walsenburg managed to slip by Las Animas the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Trojans on Thursday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Bree Tyler, who had five assists and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Walsenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Las Animas, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Walsenburg is set to take on their familiar foe Crowley County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Las Animas will square off against rival Swallows Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
