Basketball Game Preview: ASU Prep Poly vs. BASIS - Chandler Bobcats

ASU Prep Poly is 0-4 against BASIS - Chandler since December of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. ASU Prep Poly will host BASIS - Chandler at 5:30 p.m. ASU Prep Poly has given up an average of 62.6 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, ASU Prep Poly was beaten by East Valley Athletes for Christ 68-19. The matchup marked ASU Prep Poly's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, BASIS - Chandler took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past BASIS Phoenix 70-19.

ASU Prep Poly better keep an eye on Wilson Hilgaertner. He was instrumental in BASIS - Chandler's win, putting up 24 points. The game was Hilgaertner's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalen Karuppana, who posted 12 points.

ASU Prep Poly's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for BASIS - Chandler, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.

ASU Prep Poly ended up a good deal behind BASIS - Chandler in their previous matchup back in January, losing 65-48. Can ASU Prep Poly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
