Basketball Recap: Moore Haven Triumphs

Okeechobee came into Friday's match looking for another win against Moore Haven, but Preslynn Baker wouldn't allow it. The Moore Haven Terriers breezed by the Okeechobee Brahmans to the tune of 58-28 on Friday thanks in part to Baker, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Carlee Osceola was another key player, putting up nine points and seven steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Moore Haven's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Okeechobee, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore Haven will venture away from home to face off against Glades Day at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Okeechobee, they are taking a road trip to take on Clewiston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
