Brooke Point hasn't had much luck against North Stafford recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Catie Alley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Giuliana Turner was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, North Stafford came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-5.
Kaylie DeChicchis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Lizardo, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kayla Suber also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
North Stafford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
North Stafford's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Brooke Point, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Brooke Point couldn't quite get it done against North Stafford in their previous meeting on April 2nd as they fell 4-0. Can the Black Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
