Volleyball Recap: Naomi Walls and Sophia Dinh Secure Win for Columbus

Columbus won the last time they faced Jordan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Red Jackets by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Columbus took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-4.

Leading Columbus to victory were Sophia Dinh and Naomi Walls. Dinh had 12 digs, while Walls had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Walls has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: Columbus was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive games.

The victory got Columbus back to even at 14-14. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Columbus will face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jordan, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Carver on the 17th.
