Preview: Navarro Panthers vs. Manor New Tech
Navarro has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Navarro is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Manor New Tech in Texas (Navarro is ranked 308th, while Manor New Tech is ranked 1129th).
Last Friday, Navarro got themselves on the board against Austin Achieve, but Austin Achieve never followed suit. They breezed by the Polar Bears at home to the tune of 63-0. Considering Navarro has won five matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Manor New Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Jarrell, falling 55-0.
Navarro's win lifted them to 6-3 while Manor New Tech's defeat dropped them down to 2-7.
Navarro skirted past Manor New Tech 2-0 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Navarro since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
