Softball Recap: United Falls to Blacklick Valley in First Game of Season

United unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 10-4 to the Blacklick Valley Vikings on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Preslee Campbell and Mya Lichtenfels did some serious damage despite the final result: Campbell scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Lichtenfels scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave Campbell a new career-high in stolen bases.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. United will host Marion Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be United's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Blacklick Valley, they will welcome Ferndale at 4:15 p.m. on March 24th.
