Soccer Recap: South Rowan Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, South Rowan finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Lake Norman Charter Knights, falling 9-0. South Rowan haven't had much luck with Lake Norman Charter recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

South Rowan was without their leading scorer, Avery Rawlings, in Friday's match. With Rawlings sidelined, Allison Landaverde got her first action of the season.

South Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lake Norman Charter, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1.

South Rowan didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 win against West Rowan on the 29th. As for Lake Norman Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Carson on the 29th.
