Baseball Recap: Carrier Mills-Stonefort Takes a Loss

Carrier Mills-Stonefort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vienna Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Vienna, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, Carrier Mills-Stonefort will square off against Galatia/Thompsonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Vienna, they will challenge Johnston City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
