Basketball Game Preview: Chagrin Falls Tigers vs. Aurora Greenmen

The Chagrin Falls Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Aurora Greenmen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chagrin Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chagrin Falls faced off against Orange on Friday. Chagrin Falls came out on top against Orange by a score of 62-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Chagrin Falls can attribute much of their success to Oscar Difranco, who went 5 of 8 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, and Ryan Curtiss, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Castelluccio, who posted four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Aurora had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Magics. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Greenmen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Magics are ranked 170th).

Aurora's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Chagrin Falls, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Chagrin Falls came up short against Aurora in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-44. Can Chagrin Falls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
