Baseball Recap: Albuquerque Drops Season-High Score on St. Pius X

Albuquerque scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the St. Pius X Sartans by a score of 12-11. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Sartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Albuquerque saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alonzo Granados, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Granados a new career-high in hits (two). Gabriel Pohl was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Granados wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Albuquerque lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Albuquerque's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for St. Pius X, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.
