Basketball Recap: Kelton Comes Up Short

Kelton suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 57-16 loss at the hands of the Clarendon Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1187th, while the Broncos are ranked 84th).

Kelton now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Clarendon, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarendon, they will square off against Gruver at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Gruver has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Clarendon will come in with six straight victories.
