Basketball Recap: Schurz Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schurz can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Trinity Blazers and fell 82-22. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Blazers are ranked 65th).

Schurz has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Trinity, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-10.

Schurz does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity, they will take on St. Francis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity is facing St. Francis at the right time seeing as St. Francis is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
