Football Recap: Weehawken Comes Up Short

Weehawken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bogota Buccaneers. Even if the Indians couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Weehawken's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bogota, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Weehawken is set to challenge their familiar foe Wallington at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Bogota will square off against rival Wood-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
