Softball Game Preview: Gustine Reds vs. Delhi Hawks

The Gustine Reds are taking a road trip to take on the Delhi Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gustine is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Gustine fell victim to Denair and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Coyotes. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Delhi also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Stone Ridge Christian on Friday, falling 17-0. The Hawks have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Delhi's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Gustine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Gustine's way against Delhi in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Gustine made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gustine since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
