Baseball Recap: Olathe Has No Trouble Against Rangely

Olathe's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rangely Panthers as they made off with a 19-7 win. Considering the Pirates have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Combs looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Olathe got a massive performance out of Jeyden Estrada, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave Estrada a new career-high. Bridger Vincent was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

Olathe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Olathe's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Rangely, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Olathe will be playing at home against North Fork at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rangely, they will face off against Cedaredge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
