Henderson County is 10-0 against Union County since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Henderson County Colonels will head out on the road to challenge the Union County Braves at 6:00 p.m. Henderson County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Henderson County took their game with ease, bagging a 53-26 win over Webster County. Given the Colonels' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Trojans are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Henderson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allyson Rideout, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 18 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Addy Gish, who posted eight points along with six assists and five steals.

Henderson County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Union County didn't have too much trouble with Caldwell County on Tuesday as they won 53-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Henderson County pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Union County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything went Henderson County's way against Union County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Henderson County made off with a 55-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Henderson County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
