Poly put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Taft Toreadors with a sharp 9-3 victory.

ISABELLA NAVARRO spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, IZZY DIAZ and EVANY GALAVIZ did most of the damage at the plate: DIAZ went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI, while GALAVIZ went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. DIAZ is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. ROCHELLE MORENO was another key player, earning three RBI and one run.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Taft, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Poly will face off against Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Taft, they will take on Hueneme at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
