West Lincoln came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Bunker Hill Bears. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Gabrielle Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Stacia Cowan and Melony Hoffman did most of the damage at the plate: Cowan went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Hoffman went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Hoffman has posted since back in February. Abree Sutton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Lincoln kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

West Lincoln's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bunker Hill, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-6.

As of now, neither West Lincoln nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
