On Thursday Matthew Wenger struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off 13 hits (and not a single walk). The performance also marked the fewest walks (zero) Wenger has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than six strikeouts. This year, he has an ERA of 2.80 over 15 innings pitched.

Coming up, Wenger and Lower Moreland will challenge Bensalem at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Owls will enter the matchup having just beaten Council Rock South, so the Lions will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
