Football Recap: Ames Takes a Loss

Ames was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Little Cyclones were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roughriders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Ames' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Roosevelt, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ames will take on rival Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt is set to face off against their familiar foe Sioux City East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
