Basketball Recap: Isaac Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Udall over Oxford

Udall lost against Oxford back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Udall Eagles fell 74-63 to the Oxford Wildcats.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Johnson, who went 8 of 11 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. Those 25 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Hornecker, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 17 points.

Udall's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oxford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Udall will venture away from home to challenge Norwich on Tuesday. Norwich will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Udall surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oxford, they will host Pretty Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pretty Prairie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
