Football Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Glenbard South

It's playoff time, and Glenbard South had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Yorkville Foxes get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Foxes are ranked 54th).

The win made it two in a row for Glenbard South and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Yorkville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Glenbard South has already played their next game, a 45-23 loss against Antioch on the 1st. Yorkville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
