Softball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holmes Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in February.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Holmes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coincidentally, Stevens and Holmes will both be playing Taft the next time they take the field. Holmes will host Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Stevens will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
