Tucker Bickford Delivers Best Performance of Season

Tucker Bickford produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Weeping Water to the win on Friday. Bickford rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

Weeping Water's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Bickford and Weeping Water are taking a road trip to square off against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Owen Seger Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Owen Seger produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Weeping Water to the win on Friday. Seger rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

For the season, Seger has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.29 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Harms As Weeping Water Won 52-11

Another Weeping Water player making an appearance on this list is Luke Harms. He picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Harms has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 19.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to 13.

Jaren Boschult put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Cedar Bluffs is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Boschult and Cedar Bluffs will square off against Sacred Heart at 6:55 p.m. on Friday.

Hunter Bohling Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Hunter Bohling of Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer. Bohling rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. Bohling will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Johnson County Central on Thursday.
