Baseball Game Preview: Valley Center Jaguars vs. Fallbrook Warriors

For the second straight game, Valley Center will face off against Fallbrook. The Jaguars will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Valley Center has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.

On Monday, Valley Center came up short against Fallbrook and fell 7-3.

For Fallbrook's part, Mason Mendoza tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Mendoza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nicolas Countreman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liam Mendez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win snapped Fallbrook's losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-19-1 record. As for Valley Center, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.
