Softball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

Mountain Crest lost against Ridgeline back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverhawks. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dani Alexander was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Nelson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Mountain Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Ridgeline, their record is now 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Crest will challenge rival Logan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ridgeline is set to square off against their familiar foe West Field at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
