Baseball Recap: Susquehannock's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Susquehannock came out on top against South Western on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Warriors walked away with a 7-4 win over the Mustangs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Owen Regner looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Unglesbee, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Henry Heilman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win got Susquehannock back to even at 10-10. As for South Western, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
