Soccer Recap: Winnacunnet Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Winnacunnet was not quite Bishop Guertin's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Winnacunnet of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Winnacunnet now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Bishop Guertin, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnacunnet will challenge Pinkerton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinkerton's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bishop Guertin, they are taking a road trip to take on Spaulding at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Guertin will be up against Spaulding's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
