Soccer Recap: Sun Prairie West Comes Up Short

If Sun Prairie West was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Madison East last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wolves fell just short of the Middleton Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Sun Prairie West were not able to make up for their loss to Middleton from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Sun Prairie West's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-5 record this season.

Sun Prairie West has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Sun Prairie East on the 22nd. As for Middleton, they will host Monona Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monona Grove will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Middleton surely won't give up without a fight.
