Basketball Game Preview: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Oak Park Eagles

Camarillo is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Oak Park is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Camarillo Scorpions will host the Oak Park Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Camarillo will bounce into Friday's game after beating Simi Valley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Camarillo walked away with a 50-41 victory over Simi Valley on Tuesday. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Pioneers are ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Oak Park was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past Simi Valley 69-28. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 27 points or more this season.

Oak Park has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Camarillo, their win bumped their record up to 20-1.
