Basketball Recap: Anderson Ellis Key Part of Team Effort in Wolves Win

There's no place like home for Severn Run, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past the Guilford Park Panther with a 68-62 win on Monday. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 56-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Severn Run's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anderson Ellis led the charge by putting up 22 points and three steals. That's the most steals Ellis has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Lipscomb, who put up 16 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

The victory got Severn Run back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Severn Run won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Key at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guilford Park, they will welcome Reservoir at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
