Lewis County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Nicholas County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will square off against the Bluejackets at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Lewis County needed a bit of extra time to put away Mason County. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Royals.

Jerra Lucas spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kiya Noble, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted over her last ten matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Myla Clark, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Nicholas County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Robertson County on Thursday. The Bluejackets blew past the Black Devils 15-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bluejackets in their matchups with the Black Devils: they've now won seven in a row.
Caroline Banks was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Kinsee Workman also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Nicholas County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Nicholas County's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-20. As for Lewis County, their record now sits at 14-18.
Nicholas County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lewis County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for Nicholas County, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Lewis County's hitters?
Lewis County took their victory against Nicholas County when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
