Baseball Recap: Casa Grande Comes Up Short

Casa Grande and Sunrise Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Casa Grande had to settle for second. They fell 5-1 to the Mustangs. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casa Grande saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rogan Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Casa Grande now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Sunrise Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Casa Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will square off against Verrado at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vipers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
